A third-year pro, Schneider joins the K-Wings after starting the season in the AHL with the Chicago Wolves. Schneider’s first two seasons have been spent exclusively in the AHL. Starting his pro career in 2010-11 with the Manitoba Moose, Schneider split time at defense and forward skating in 47 games for the Moose.
Before turning pro, Schneider spent four seasons in Junior hockey, including the 2009-10 season where he played in all 72 games for the Portland Winterhawks helping the WHL club in one of the biggest turnarounds in major juniors. Schneider and the ‘Hawks won 44 games in the 2009-10 season after only earning 19 victories the year before. A defensive, two-way forward, Schneider earned 23 points (12 goals, 11 assists) with a plus/minus of +7 and 42 minutes in penalties.
Last season, Schneider posted nine points (4 goals, 5 assists) in 46 games with the Wolves.
