A four-year pro, Versteeg returns to where he began his professional career. The native of Lethbridge, Alberta played a majority of his first two seasons with the K-Wings, including the 2010-11 campaign, where he was a member of the K-Wings Eastern Conference Championship team.
This season with the Titans, Versteeg has posted five points (1 goal, 4 assists) and has a plus/minus rating of even in 11 games.
Before turning pro, Versteeg played three seasons in the WHL with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Versteeg made his presence while with the Hurricanes racking up 297 minutes in penalties in 148 games. Mitch also helped Lethbridge to back-to-back playoff appearances.
Versteeg is the younger brother of Kris Versteeg, who last season played for the NHL’s Florida Panthers and was a member of Chicago Blackhawks 2009-10 Stanley Cup.
