A first year pro, Ostergard joined the K-Wings as a free agent on 11/28/12. After being invited to the Washington Capitals Developmental Camp, Ostergard began the season in the training camp of the Orlando Solar Bears and played in one game with the Alaska Aces. A four-year standout at Robert Morris University, Ostergard was a teammate of fellow K-Wing forward Cody Crichton.
With the Colonials, Ostergard was a member of the CHA All-Rookie team (2008-09) and was a Third-Team All Conference during his senior campaign (2010-11). After his senior year at Robert Morris, the native of Cleveland, Ohio began his pro career playing in one game for the Chicago Express. Prior to his collegiate career, Ostergard played two seasons of junior hockey in the EJHL, primarily with the Bay State Breakers.
