A third-year pro, Polasek was reassigned to Kalamazoo from the Vancouver Canucks after starting the season in the AHL with the Comets.
Last season Polasek split time between the K-Wings and the Chicago Wolves. With Kalamazoo, the blue-liner had eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) and a plus/minus of +1 in 34 games. In January, Polasek was reassigned to Chicago where he had eight points (1 goal, 7 assists) and a plus/minus of +8 in 24 games.
A fifth-round selection of the Canucks (145th overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Polasek posted 80 points (20 goals, 60 assists) in 127 games in Junior hockey, as a member of the Prince Edward Island Rocket (QMJHL).
