January 20, 2014 - Mike Modugno
Director of Public Relations and Broadcaster

Evansville, IN – The Evansville IceMen scored three power-play goals, including two in the third period en route to a 3-2 victory at the Ford Center over the Kalamazoo Wings.

Utilizing a screen in front of Jordan Binnington while on a power-play, Joe Lavin (3rd) gave the IceMen the lead 6:26 into the first period with a blue line slap shot.

David Pacan brought the K-Wings even early in the second period by scoring his fifth goal of the season on a loose puck to the side of Mike Clemente.

Kalamazoo jumped ahead 14:39 into the stanza with a power-play goal from Nick Sirota (2nd).  Both of Sirota’s this season have been scored with a man-advantage.

Midway in third period, Evansville struck six seconds into a power-play with goal from Matt Schepke (12th) to tie the game at 2-2.

The IceMen went ahead for good with 4:47 remaining in regulation with a backdoor power-play tally Tristan King (8th).

The IceMen finished the game 3-for-4 on the power-play, while the K-Wings were 1-for-7.
