Evansville, IN – The Evansville IceMen scored three power-play goals, including two in the third period en route to a 3-2 victory at the Ford Center over the Kalamazoo Wings.
Utilizing a screen in front of Jordan Binnington while on a power-play, Joe Lavin (3rd) gave the IceMen the lead 6:26 into the first period with a blue line slap shot.
David Pacan brought the K-Wings even early in the second period by scoring his fifth goal of the season on a loose puck to the side of Mike Clemente.
Kalamazoo jumped ahead 14:39 into the stanza with a power-play goal from Nick Sirota (2nd). Both of Sirota’s this season have been scored with a man-advantage.
Midway in third period, Evansville struck six seconds into a power-play with goal from Matt Schepke (12th) to tie the game at 2-2.
The IceMen went ahead for good with 4:47 remaining in regulation with a backdoor power-play tally Tristan King (8th).
The IceMen finished the game 3-for-4 on the power-play, while the K-Wings were 1-for-7.
The K-Wings will return to Wings Stadium this Friday, January 24th for a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Reading Royals on Strongest K-Wings Fan Night, featuring WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley. Fans can meet and receive autographs from Foley starting at 6:30 p.m. Following the game, the K-Wings will auction off their home 40th Anniversary jerseys they wore on New Year’s Eve.
Tickets for all K-Wings home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Individual ticket prices for home games are $13 and $17.50 for adults and only $7 for kids ages 12 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and the New Year’s Eve game) are just $1 more. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single-game tickets in advance. Tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $2 (adults only).
