Kalamazoo Wings Vs Trenton Titans
February 14, 2013 - Mike Modugno
Director of Public Relations and Broadcaster

Game Preview
It will be hockey, not love in the air tonight as the Kalamazoo Wings hosts the Trenton Titans at Wings Stadium during the 13th Annual St. Valentine’s Day Pink Ice Game, presented by WKFR, SeaLandAir Travel and Apple Vacations. On the season, the K-Wings are 1-0-0-0 against the Titans.

Coming off a 5-2 loss on Sunday to the Reading Royals, the K-Wings will be looking to get back on track. While Kalamazoo has won four out of their last five games overall, they have struggled at home. The K-Wings are just 2-1-1-0 in their last four games at Wings Stadium.

Tonight starts a three-game road swing for the Titans. Trenton, who is 7-12-2-2 away from the Sun National Bank Center, is just 1-3-0-0 in their last four road games. On the season, Trenton is 5-3-1-1 against teams from the North Division.

Pretty in Pink
This evening the K-Wings will play the Trenton Titans in the 13th  Annual St. Valentine’s Day Pink Ice Game, presented by WKFR, SeaLandAir Travel & Apple Vacations. Kalamazoo, who is 9-3-0-0 during the annual pink ice game, has won nine straight on Valentine’s Day.

Roster Moves
Yesterday defenseman Harry Young was reassigned by the New Jersey Devils to the Albany Devils. The moves won’t be all bad for the K-Wings, as forward Kory Karlander (21-Day IR) and defenseman Joe Charlebois (Reserve) have been activated for tonight’s game.

Yin and Yang of Shooting
On Sunday, the K-Wings were outshot 51-18 against the Reading Royals. The 18 shots for, are a season-low for Kalamazoo, while the 51 shots surrendered were the most allowed this year.

My Favorite Martin
Goaltender Joel Martin is closing in a personal milestone. Martin needs one more win to reach 200 in his career.
