Game Preview Getting set for their final home game before Christmas, the Kalamazoo Wings will tangle with their archrivals the Fort Wayne Komets. Tonight is the ninth of 16 meetings this season between the teams. Despite dropping their last two games against Fort Wayne, Kalamazoo is 4-3-1-0 this season versus the Komets.
Currently in fourth place in the North Division, Kalamazoo enters the night three points behind Fort Wayne for third. The K-Wings will have plenty of opportunity to make up ground on the standings. Starting last Sunday, Kalamazoo began a stretch of nine straight games against division foes.
After a loss to the Cincinnati Cyclones on Wednesday, Fort Wayne is now four points behind the Cyclones for second place in the division. Besides trying to catch ground in the North Division, the Komets will also try to snap a three-game road (0-2-1-0) winless streak.
