Kalamazoo Wings @ Evansville Icemen
October 26, 2012 - Mike Modugno
Director of Public Relations and Broadcaster

Game Preview
A new rivalry will be born this evening, as the Kalamazoo Wings will take on the Evansville Icemen during the Icemen’s Pink in the Rink game. It will be a colorful weekend for the team’s; besides playing on pink ice, both teams will meet again tomorrow night at Wings Stadium during the Annual Orange Ice Game.

Winners of two straight, the K-Wings have started the season with a record of 3-1-0-0 and as a result are in first place in the North Division. Kalamazoo’s key to success has been goaltending, as the duo of Joel Martin and Joe Cannata have only allowed their opponents a goals-against average of 1.75 goals-a-game.

In search of their first ECHL victory, the Icemen will conclude a brief two-game home stand. Evansville started the stand with a 3-0 loss on Wednesday to the Gwinnett Gladiators. Opening the season with a record of 0-3-0-1, the Icemen’s lone point came on the road, as they are have gone 0-3-0-0 at home.
