Chad Dameworth, a former K-Wing, spent 11 seasons in the professional ranks as a player. Born and raised in Marquette, MI, Dameworth spent 2 years playing in the NAHL, also in Kalamazoo before attending Northern Michigan University on a 4-year hockey scholarship. In addition, Dameworth played for current Wings Vice President of Hockey Operations, Dan Belisle, for 5 years in New Orleans, Atlantic City, and most recently in Victoria.
Drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1994 Supplemental round, he went on to play over 700 games in the AHL, IHL, ECHL, and UHL. Chad has attended 4 NHL training camps over the course of his career, along with numerous AHL and IHL camps. The role of team leader has been awarded to him on many occasions as many of his former coaches named him team captain; he was also selected to the 2005 UHL All Star Game.
Dameworth has had experience as a player/assistant coach on several teams, as well as scout and recruiter.
Chad currently resides in the Metro Detroit area with his wife Brandice, daughter Elle, and son Miles.
