Since their formation as a franchise in 1974, the Kalamazoo Wings have made it their top priority to give back to the community in which they call home - and since K-Wings fans hail from all corners of west Michigan, when the team refers to their community, we don't just mean Kalamazoo! You'll find the Kalamazoo Wings anywhere from Grand Rapids to Galesburg; Benton Harbor to Battle Creek!
Whether it be player appearances at local establishments, players and staff donating their time to educational programs, providing instruction for youth hockey or donating items to charitable organizations - the Kalamazoo Wings pride themselves on giving back to the communities that support them!
Wings Stadium won't be the only place you'll find K-Wings players during hockey season! Throughout hockey season, as well as during the summer months, K-Wings players can be found at local and school events, charity events, parades and much more!
The K-Wings are always willing to donate to charitable organizations, whether it be with financial contributions, donations of tickets, autographed merchandise or having local businesses contribute to charities based on performance of K-Wings players.
Priority in granting donations is given to non-profit organizations. The K-Wings have a yearly limit on fulfilled donation requests. The K-Wings give priority on donation requests to organizations or businesses that are doing business with the team (i.e. booked a group outing or advertising partners).
